Mission Statement
The Baker View Christian School family exists to show children Jesus, nurture their love for Him and others, teach them to think, and empower them to serve.
Our Philosophy
Baker View Christian School earnestly seeks to provide a spiritually-oriented, well-rounded education for children. A belief in the existence of the Creator God is fundamental in our philosophy. We respect His divine authority and recognize His loving involvement in human affairs. We believe that true education develops the spiritual, mental, and physical powers of each student; preparing them for the joy of service in this life and for the higher joy of service in the life to come. To achieve this goal, we encourage each student to:
- develop a personal relationship with God and care for people as stated in Matthew 22:37-39
- master the basic academic skills
- value labor -- both physical and mental -- as a benefit to God, others and self
- cultivate physical fitness, mental ability, and moral purity as the blessings God intended.
The Baker View Christian School is locally-operated, with the benefit of guidance and direction from the Office of Education (Seventh-day Adventist Church), which oversees over 6,000 schools world-wide with the advantage of over 150 years of academic leadership.

Character-building Our curriculum and class-conduct standards help instill the virtues of social concern, faith in God, generosity, environmental awareness, integrity, honesty, and teamwork. Imparting beliefs and morals that build a child's character with a positive sense of self-worth and respect for others, our activities aim to develop the entire child -- emotionally, physically, mentally, socially and spiritually.
Academic Quality Our state-certified teachers, and their assistants, strive for high academic standards in classrooms with low teacher-student ratios. As stated above, Baker View is part of the heritage and excellent educational track record of the Adventist school network, which includes the world-renowned Loma Linda University in California.
Recreation/Relationships Baker View students participate in our community and world through such things as: ski-trips, harvesting apples for the homeless, Operation Christmas Child, nursing home visits, and more.
Encounters with God Our teachers are dedicated Christians who integrate Biblical faith in the classroom through daily worship time, book studies, practical lessons and personal examples. Students are encouraged to know God in everyday life through a personal relationship with Him.
Safe/Secure Environment We see being entrusted with the care of a child as a huge duty and a humble privilege. Teachers become acquainted with students, monitor conduct, apply protective policies and oversee the facility to prevent or address any threat to personal safety.
